Piatella is a technique before it is a product. The plant is frozen immediately after harvest, never dried, and the resin is separated and then cold-cured under pressure for weeks rather than pressed hot and sold. The cold cure is what produces the characteristic texture, a smooth, almost buttery slab, and it is what preserves monoterpenes that would otherwise evaporate during a conventional dry and cure. Nothing is added. There is no infusion and no distillate, which means the potency is whatever the plant and the separation produced, and the point of the product is the aroma.
Our Magic Sauce hash and Delta-10 hash add a cannabinoid to reach 45 to 60%. Piatella does not compete on that axis and will always lose it.
THCA hash is also uninfused, but conventionally dried and cured. It is the closer comparison and the cheaper one.
CBD hash is the non-psychoactive uninfused option, bought for the ritual rather than the aroma.
Expect a soft, malleable slab with a pronounced fresh, almost herbal nose that conventionally cured resin simply does not have. The experience is in the first few seconds of the inhale. Because nothing has been added, the effect is proportionate to the plant material, which is to say moderate rather than overwhelming. Adults only. Cold-curing takes weeks of controlled storage and cannot be rushed, so we buy it from producers who do it properly rather than from anyone pressing resin quickly. Each batch carries a certificate of analysis covering cannabinoids, terpenes, pesticides, heavy metals and microbiology. The terpene panel is the one that matters here, and we publish it. Resellers should price up bulk Piatella.
Because you are buying a process, not a percentage. Fresh-frozen handling and a multi-week cold cure cost considerably more than drying and pressing.
